Peshawar, January 14, 2025: A meeting regarding the Provincial Expressway Project (formerly known as Swat Expressway) was held on 14thJanuary 2025 at the Pakhtunkhwa Highway Authority (PKHA) headquarters in Peshawar. The session was chaired by the Managing Director PKHA and attended by the Project Director and representatives from the Frontier Works Organization (FWO).

During the meeting, major discrepancies in the project were discussed in detail by the concessionaire and the client. Financial matters, including the impact of fluctuations in the KIBOR rate and payments, were deliberated. The Project Director emphasized that, as per the Concession Agreement, the concessionaire is solely responsible for all the financial risks.

The meeting also reviewed the allocation of funds and management of physical assets to ensure smooth and timely execution of the project. Participants committed to resolving the highlighted issues and expediting progress on the expressway.
