Progress on Swabi-Jahangira Road and Topi Bypass Road Reviewed in High-Level Meeting Peshawar, December 6, 2024 – A crucial meeting to assess the progress of the Swabi-Jahangira Road and Topi Bypass Road projects was held today at 11:30 AM in the Committee Room of the Secretary of Communication & Works (C&W) Department. The meeting was chaired by the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on C&W and attended by Managing Director PKHA Engr. Asad Ali & prominent officials, including various ministers and former Speaker of the National Assembly, Mr. Asad Qaiser.
The primary agenda of the meeting was to review the current status of the ongoing projects, address matters concerning the allocation and utilization of funds, and chart a comprehensive way forward for the timely completion of the schemes.
During the session, the Special Assistant emphasized the strategic importance of the Swabi-Jahangira Road and Topi Bypass Road for improving connectivity and reducing traffic congestion in the region. He directed the officials to ensure transparency and efficiency in the execution of the projects, urging timely resolution of any bottlenecks hindering progress.
Discussions also focused on the financial aspects of the projects, with officials briefing the participants on the current funding situation and the projected financial requirements for completing the remaining work. The chair stressed the need for coordinated efforts between the concerned departments to secure the necessary resources and expedite the pace of construction.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Special Assistant reiterated the Provincial Government's commitment to improving infrastructure and vowed to monitor the progress of these projects closely. He directed the relevant authorities to submit a detailed progress report in the next review meeting.
